NEW YORK CHOOSES LIMITLESS DEVICE: THE DISABILITY STARTUP WINS THE ITALIAN REPUTATION AWARD 2025

Limitless Device has won the prestigious award at the Italian Reputation Award, held on January 18 at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York. This important recognition is granted to individuals who have distinguished themselves for their constant and innovative commitment in various sectors, contributing to the promotion of Italy worldwide and strengthening its global brand.

The Italian Reputation Award was born from the collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, directed by Fabio Finotti, Reputation Research, led by Davide Ippolito, and the IARL – Italia America Reputation Lab foundation. Its objective is to highlight the cultural impact of Italians who, through their work, contribute to enhancing the reputation of Italy across the world.

During the award ceremony, the Dean of La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi, Michael Cascianelli, took the stage: “Reputation is an inspiration for future generations. I am pleased to award Limitless Device for their extraordinary commitment to innovation and inclusivity. This startup is revolutionizing mobility for people with disabilities, with the brilliant insight of developing a portable electric micromobility device that improves daily quality of life. By facilitating interaction and social participation, it is achieving international success. Limitless Device has become a symbol of Italian excellence in mobility for people with disabilities.”

“We are almost embarrassed,” said Alessio Sansò, CEO and co-founder of Limitless Device. “Being here alongside so many prestigious figures is an honor. We are proud of our journey and of the reputation others attribute to us. The idea that we can restore dignity and pride to people with disabilities, who have lost their reputation for various reasons, is what drives us forward.”

“We are trying to create something simple and accessible,” added Emanuele Battista, CTO and co-founder of Limitless. “A device conceived differently, a micromobility solution that can change the perception that a wheelchair is synonymous with a problem. This process means changing the reputation of many people: that is how we will achieve our goal.”

Reputation experts Davide Ippolito and Mattia Panico also praised the Italian startup. “Limitless Device’s journey has been particularly challenging,” said Ippolito, “as the sustainable mobility sector initially had 600 startups, then 250, and finally only 10, which participated in the ‘Love IT Detroit – The Perfect Pitch’ call, set to air on RAI Italia in April.”
